Not a participating bank

Unfortunately, your bank is not giving grants towards name changes through the Rainbow NZ Charitable Trust.
We understand that this change to banking security measures may be causing distress so don’t forget that you can reach out to Rainbow Youth, OutLine NZ and Gender Minorities Aotearoa.

We recommend that you get in touch with your banks customer service to see if they are supporting through an internal fund, but if not, and you’d like to urge your bank to get involved with this initiative, we’ve created a template to help you with this.

A few other organisations who support name changes through grants:

-Kiwibank, offers financial support for legal name changes for their customers
- Naming NZ (part of Rainbow Youth), this grant is for youth in the Greater Wellington area
- AUT, offers financial support for legal name changes for students
- University of Auckland, offers financial support for legal name changes for students
