Our National Day of Giving
8 October 2026 - 12 October 2026
GiveOUT Day is a national outpouring of support for LGBTTQIA+ projects, community groups, and not-for-profit organisations.
Our online peer-to-peer giving platform was launched in 2022 to power collective giving to uplift and sustain rainbow organisations nationwide.
The Trust fundraises with corporate sponsors to pledge towards matched pool funding, which will be used to double donations and to encourage givers to support our communities' organisations to provide accessible health care, create community events, protect LGBTTQIA+ rights, and more.
GiveOUT Day is increasing the capacity of the LGBTTQIA+ sector. Providing organisations with the opportunity to build awareness and raise funds for our communities.
Would you like to sponsor GiveOUT Day in 2026? Please email [email protected] to find out more.
Purpose
The Trust will facilitate a national day of charitable giving, GiveOUT Day, to increase the capacity of the LGBTTQIA+ sector and provide LGBTTQIA+ organisations with the opportunity to build awareness of their causes, raise funds for vital services, promote equal rights and provide much needed relief and resources for our community.
How GiveOUT Day Works
- The Trust secures funding from Sponsors and Donors to build a 'match pool' of funds
- The Trust invites, and accepts applications from LGBTTQIA+ Registered Charities and Incorporated Societies to participate as registered recipients of GIVEOUT Day funds
- The Trust, Sponsors and Participants promote and advertise GiveOUT Day and encourage people to give on GiveOUT Day
- GiveOUT Day is launched!
- People donate to their chosen GiveOUT Day Participant on our online peer-to-peer giving platform. Every dollar donated is 'matched' from the match pool until the match pool is fully awarded. This means that every dollar donated is doubled until the match pool runs out!
- The Trust disburses the GiveOUT Day funds to Participants and their very worthy causes!
Join Us for GiveOUT Day
All LGBTTQIA+ Registered Charities, Incorporated Societies and Grassroots Organisations delivering continuous rainbow-affirming projects, support services, resources and events are encouraged to participate in the Trust’s annual GiveOUT Day. This initiative is our primary annual fundraising event for our Rainbow communities.

Please note that registrations for GiveOUT Day 2026 have now closed and we will be announcing participating organisation soon!
The Role of the Trust
The key role of the Trust is to attract and secure Sponsors and major Donors to “build the pot of gold under the rainbow" and contribute to the Sponsors Matched Funding pool.
The Trust is also responsible for implementing the online peer-to-peer giving platform and directing donated funds to GiveOUT Day Participants.
