Second GiveOUT Day doubled inaugural funding!

8th of September at Phoenix Cabaret

GiveOUT Day, a national day of awareness raising and giving to LGBTTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, takatāpui, queer, intersex and asexual people, plus further identities) projects, community groups, and not-for-profit organisations raised $120,000 for 22 charity partners in 2023.

Donations to LGBTTQIA+ organisations on GiveOUT Day were doubled by Rainbow New Zealand Charitable Trust and our sponsors.

GiveOUT Day works to increase the capacity of the LGBTTQIA+ sector and provides LGBTTQIA+ organisations with the opportunity to build awareness of their causes, raise funds for vital services, promote equal rights and provide much needed relief and resources for the community. The Rainbow New Zealand Charitable Trust has a long history of giving back to the LGBTTQIA+ community. Since its founding in 1999, the Trust has donated over $650,000 to fund a broad range of LGBTTQIA+ organisations, services, events, projects and initiatives.
