Meet Louisa Wall: Leading with Mana, Courage, and Compassion
Louisa Wall is one of Aotearoa’s most courageous and principled changemakers — a proud advocate, athlete, and leader with unwavering heart. From the sports field to Parliament, Louisa has championed equality, justice, and inclusion with mana, humility, and fierce determination. Her legacy — from marriage equality to advancing Indigenous, women’s, and LGBTQ+ rights — continues to inspire and empower communities across Aotearoa and the Pacific.
We’re beyond proud to welcome Louisa Wall to the Rainbow NZ Charitable Trust Glambassador whānau — a powerhouse of purpose, pride, and aroha.
A human rights advocate, former New Zealand Member of Parliament, and Patron of Toitū Takatāpui, Louisa has spent her life breaking barriers and building bridges. A dual international athlete, she represented Aotearoa as both a Silver Fern and a Black Fern, bringing the same courage and conviction to the political and advocacy arenas.
Celebrated for her leadership in achieving marriage equality in New Zealand, Louisa continues to champion Indigenous, women’s, and LGBTQ+ rights across the Pacific and around the world. Her work is a testament to integrity, inclusivity, and the belief that true progress happens when everyone is seen, valued, and free to thrive.
As a Glambassador, Louisa brings her voice, vision, and unwavering heart to help uplift Rainbow communities everywhere — showing what leadership with mana truly looks like.

I want to see a future where every Takatāpui and Rainbow person can live fully and freely as who they were born to be, with pride, safety, dignity and belonging. A future where our communities have the resources to tell our own stories, lead our own change and shape the world we want to live in. We are each exactly who we are meant to be. We carry the mana, strength and dreams of our ancestors, and we honour that whakapapa by living authentically as ourselves. We are proud expressions of our cultures, our identities and our truths, each of us adding our own unique thread to the rich and diverse whakapapa of our communities. That is why I GiveOUT.
