October 16, 2025L’Oréal Groupe New Zealand has joined the Rainbow NZ Charitable Trust’s GiveOUT Day 2025 as a Gold Sponsor, reaffirming its commitment to diversity, inclusion, and celebrating every individual’s unique beauty.
L'Oréal Groupe in New Zealand is delighted to announce its Gold Sponsorship of the Rainbow NZ Charitable Trust’s (RNZCT) GiveOUT Day 2025 campaign, New Zealand's National Day of Giving for Rainbow communities. This significant collaboration powerfully reaffirms L’Oréal’s deep rooted commitment to diversity, inclusion, and empowering all communities across Aotearoa New Zealand.
L'Oréal's global purpose, "Create the Beauty that Moves the World," deeply resonates with this partnership. Beauty is a powerful force for self-expression and confidence, and for generations, makeup has served as both a tool of self-expression and, for some, an armour within the LGBTTQIA+ community – a profound connection that predates L’Oréal's own 116-year history.
At L’Oréal, we believe that true beauty comes from inclusion and celebrating every individual's unique identity. Our partnership with the Rainbow NZ Charitable Trust for GiveOUT Day reflects our dedication to the LGBTTQIA+ community across Aotearoa. We are committed to fostering an environment where everyone, both within our organisation and across this beautiful motu, feels safe, valued, and empowered to express their authentic selves. This collaboration is a testament to our shared vision of a more equitable and accepting New Zealand.
GiveOUT Day, scheduled for November 6, 2025, is New Zealand's pivotal national outpouring of support for LGBTTQIA+ projects, community groups, and not-for-profit organisations. Its innovative online peer-to-peer giving platform, launched in 2022, powers collective giving, enabling Rainbow organisations to build awareness and raise crucial funds. A cornerstone of GiveOUT Day is its Matched Funding model: corporate sponsors like L’Oréal Groupe pledge towards a matched pool, effectively doubling the impact of individual donations. These vital funds directly support accessible healthcare, community events, protection of LGBTTQIA+ rights, and much more, significantly increasing the capacity of the LGBTTQIA+ sector.
The Rainbow NZ Charitable Trust has been a beacon of support for 25 years, acting as a cheerleader, advocate, and nurturing partner for Aotearoa's Rainbow communities. The Trust diligently raises and distributes funds to LGBTTQIA+ led community organisations and Pride events, while also providing scholarships to young LGBTTQIA+ students pursuing tertiary education. To date, the Trust has distributed almost $800,000 through over 140 grants and awarded 96 scholarships, with 44 organisations having participated in GiveOUT Day. Despite 10% of New Zealand's population identifying as part of the Rainbow community, less than 50 cents of every $100 donated to NZ charities reaches Rainbow organisations, underscoring the critical need for initiatives like GiveOUT Day.
“At RNZCT, we believe that enduring change is built on authentic partnerships those rooted in shared values, mutual respect, and a commitment to equity. Our collaboration with L’Oréal is more than a sponsorship; it’s a powerful alignment of purpose. L’Oréal’s support enables us to expand our reach, deepen our impact, and build sustainable pathways for inclusion, not just within the Rainbow community, but across society. We’re proud to stand alongside L’Oréal in this journey, and we look forward to the legacy we’ll build together - one of resilience, representation, and real change.” Gurv Singh, Co-Chair, Rainbow NZ Charitable Trust
