Shannon Moles — Bachelor of Science — University of Canterbury

Shannon is an 18 year old queer woman from the picturesque Kāpiti Coast.

Ever since she was a young child, Shannon has had an interest in plants and animals. She has a passion for biology, specifically genetics and intends on working in and contributing to that field in the future, as well as a strong interest and dedication to languages.

Shannon studied at Paraparaumu College and will be the first in her family to attend university. She will be studying Biological Sciences at the University of Canterbury in 2024.

Shannon’s journey has been marked by significant financial challenges, however the scholarship support she receives opens doors to a world of opportunities that may have otherwise been out of reach. With a commitment to maximising every opportunity, Shannon is determined to make the most of her university experience, as well as connect with other like-minded people.
