Grace Naylor — Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Arts — Victoria University of Wellington

Grace is a dedicated and ambitious queer individual; she is driven by a passion for leadership and learning,. Demonstrating a strong academic background and commitment to excellence, she initiated and led the LGBTQIA+ support group at her school. She also founded and led the Cromwell Youth Trust Pride Council in collaboration with her community’s local youth support centre.

Her commitment extends to creating safe spaces, particularly for LGBTQIA+ youth, reflecting a deep-seated desire to provide support. Engaging actively in school leadership, Grace served as House Leader and Chairman of the Student Council, achieving notable academic achievements including Proxime Accessit Dux and top of Class in History, English, and Visual Art. In her final year of school, she also completed her Gold Duke of Ed.

Grace’s dedication to supporting youth is exemplified in her favourite project—illustrating ‘Anahera’s Adventures: STEM Edition,’ a children’s book inspiring young girls in STEM careers and addressing the educational gender gap in the Pacific Islands.

With a profound commitment to inclusivity, leadership, and positive change, Grace eagerly anticipates the future and the impact she will continue to make.
