Aquilla Pullen – RNZCT/AUT Scholarship. Bachelor of Health Sciences – Auckland University of Technology

Aquilla is a transgender/nonbinary person who is passionate about advocating for change and raising the level of acceptance for the trans community. Aquilla has taken many opportunities to impact their community including starting a Sexuality and Gender Acceptance group in their high school and being on the InsideOUT Youth Advisory Group.

Aquilla will be studying Paramedicine at AUT and hopes this will allow them to support the community with a grass roots approach. Aquilla will use this money to continue striving to change systems, especially within the medical field, that aim to force people into boxes. An active part of the LGBTTQIA+ community Aquilla is dedicated to making the world a better, more equitable place.
